Section 01

Who we are

HYPE Building Limited ("HYPE", "we", "us") is a UK construction firm based in Stoke-on-Trent. We are registered with Companies House and operate as a data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law. Our registered address is shown on the Contact page.

Section 02

What information we collect

When you contact HYPE, through the website form, by phone, by email, or in person, we collect: your name, your contact details (phone, email, postcode), and the details of the project you are asking about. If you have accepted analytics cookies, an enquiry sent through the website form also includes how you first arrived on the site: the landing page, the source, medium and campaign, the referring website, the time of your first visit, and an advert click ID where there is one. We do not collect or store any data not directly relevant to delivering a quote or build for you.

Section 03

Why we collect it

We collect this information to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver and document the build. Your data is processed on the lawful basis of legitimate interest (responding to your direct contact) or contractual necessity (once we are working together). If you tick the box on our enquiry form to hear HYPE news and offers, we will also email you about those, on the basis of your consent. That box is optional and never pre-ticked, and you can unsubscribe from any email or by contacting us at any time.

Section 04

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Where we share data with a third party, typically a structural engineer, an architect, a planning consultant, a building control officer, or a sub-trade, it is solely to deliver the project you instructed. All third parties HYPE works with are bound by appropriate data-processing agreements.

Section 05

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry information for up to 24 months from your last contact. We retain client project information for the legally-required period after handover (typically 12 years from completion for construction contracts), after which it is securely destroyed. You can request deletion of your information at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations.

Section 06

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention obligations), to restrict its processing, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact askme@hypebuilding.co.uk. We respond inside one calendar month.

Section 07

How to complain

If you believe we have mishandled your personal data, please contact us first so we can address it directly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

For the right build only

Build it right.
Build it HYPE.

We take on substantial building work across Stoke-on-Trent and the Midlands: extensions, conversions, full refurbishments, commercial works and repairs after fire, flood or damage. Properly scoped projects, not odd jobs or reactive maintenance.

We're VAT registered, so on smaller jobs a non-VAT builder will always undercut us. That's just the maths. Our work pays off where doing it properly matters more than the cheapest quote.

If that sounds like your project, tell us what you've got. We'll tell you straight whether we're right for it, and if we're not, we'll say so. Either way, we wish you all the best x.
