HYPE Building is a family-run construction firm based in Stoke-on-Trent and led by John Sale, known to his audience as 'Big John'. With over 20 years in the trade, John built HYPE from the ground up, working across HMO conversions, commercial-to-residential change-of-use, refurbishments and residential building across Staffordshire and the Midlands. HYPE's approach is built on transparency: every project runs on The HYPE System, an in-house AI-powered build-documentation setup, and is filmed for the HypeTV YouTube channel: 'the black box is dead, the glass house is here.' HYPE Building is fully insured (Contractors All Risk, Public Liability, Employers Liability) and rated Excellent on Google.

John Sale started on the tools and came up through the Potteries, building HYPE Building from the ground up. Over 20 years in the trade, he's become known for documenting the real work, the good, the bad and the ugly, on the HypeTV channel, and has been featured across the national press including The Sun, The Mirror and Manchester Evening News.

We take on substantial building work across Stoke-on-Trent and the Midlands: extensions, conversions, full refurbishments, commercial works and repairs after fire, flood or damage. Properly scoped projects, not odd jobs or reactive maintenance.
We're VAT registered, so on smaller jobs a non-VAT builder will always undercut us. That's just the maths. Our work pays off where doing it properly matters more than the cheapest quote.
