Our ethos · The five
Five values. No small print.
Trust, respect, understanding, transparency, honesty. They are not poster words: they are working rules. Every decision on a HYPE site has to clear all five.
Respect
We think of our customers as members of our team.
We don't let them down. At HYPE, we want to achieve every bit as much as you do. Mutual respect is the best way to move forward.
Understanding
The more knowledge you have of what you want, the better.
It's important you have the right information at every stage. But we also need that in return.
Transparency
We like our customers to know exactly what's going on.
Good communication is at the heart of that. We're very open about the way we go about things. If you want a report on progress, we won't just tell you: we'll show you.
Honesty
We're straight talkers and we tell it like it is.
We couldn't operate in any other way. If something isn't going to work, you'll hear it from us first.

Where we say no
The jobs we turn down.
We turn down jobs where the client wants to be half the builder. The classic is a client supplying their own materials to save money. It has never once saved money: it costs time, it costs goodwill, and when it goes wrong it is somehow still our problem. If a client genuinely knows what they are doing, fine. If not, the HYPE System only works when we are running it end to end.
That is not arrogance: it is what the ethos costs. Five values only hold if the system that carries them is ours to run.

We do things right.We do things good.We get reviews.
That's what HYPE stands for, and it's how every decision on site gets made. When a new lad calls me for a decision, I tell him the same thing: run it through the three. Is it right? Is it good? Will it get us the review? If you can answer that, you don't need me. If you can't, then call.

For the right build only
Build it right.
Build it HYPE.
We take on substantial building work across Stoke-on-Trent and the Midlands: extensions, conversions, full refurbishments, commercial works and repairs after fire, flood or damage. Properly scoped projects, not odd jobs or reactive maintenance.
We're VAT registered, so on smaller jobs a non-VAT builder will always undercut us. That's just the maths. Our work pays off where doing it properly matters more than the cheapest quote.
